A mobile phone can be referred to as a cellular phone, cell phone or a hand phone and is used to make and receive phone calls using radio link technology for mobile telecommunication over a large geographic area. Cell phones today have many features such as text messaging, MMS (Multimedia messaging service), email, internet access, including many types of applications from gaming to business applications. The newest addition to the mobile device world is the Smartphone, the smartphone has general computing abilities. The first mobile phone was presented in 1973 by Dr. Martin Cooper. In the early 90's there were approximately 12 million mobile phone users, today there are over 4 billion cell phone users.
